Learn To Weave a Tapestry

Explore the world of color and texture with award winning weaver, Dahlia Popovits. In this one-day workshop, you will learn to weave on a rigid heddle loom, and leave with a finished wall hanging of your own design. All skill levels are welcome as you will be guided through every step of the process. We'll use yarn of various weights and textures to match your unique style, and learn a variety of popular weaving methods including plain weave, soumak, rya knots and tapestry techniques. As you begin to master the art of weaving throughout the day,  you will also learn how the nature of this art form can be very soothing, a true de-stressor that will help you unwind as you work on a creative project. Class price includes a $18 materials fee.
