Board of Directors
The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) board of directors helps maintain the fiscal health and stability of the organization. The Board consists of local arts and business representatives, who bring a broad depth of experience to help the HCA flourish. In addition to guidance and governance, Board members engage in fundraising activities that help support the HCA’s mission related activities.
Mary Ansell, Clerk
Matt Colleran is a 15 year marketing veteran with experience at three Fortune 500 companies. He received his Bachelors and Masters in Business degrees from Boston College and has spent his career building and marketing brands at Abercrombie and Fitch, Reebok, and Hasbro. He currently is the Director of Marketing leading key girls toys brands at Hasbro in Providence RI.
Kurt Fliegauf, board co-chair
Mr. Fliegauf is a partner with Conn Kavanaugh Rosenthal Peisch & Ford, LLP, Boston, MA, a civil litigator with expertise in business litigation, employment law, professional liability, and construction law. He was Chair of the Town of Hopkinton Cable Advisory Committee and a member of the Town of Hopkinton Downtown Revitalization Committee. He is a graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA – J.D. 1993 and Kenyon College, Gambier, OH – B.A.
Mr. Joseph has had extensive involvement in the MetroWest community, as a realtor, developer, and community volunteer. He spearheaded fundraising for the HCA’s renovation project, and worked with the town to obtain CPA funds and negotiated a 20-year lease for the HCA. He provides ongoing liaison with town boards. He is Chairman of the Board of the Hopkinton Community Endowment, and has served on town committees. As Broker/Owner of five Remax Executive Realty offices in MetroWest and a developer of the Hopkinton Square commercial center, he is well versed in the needs of residents and businesses in the region.
Lana McAuliffe, board co-chair
Ms. McAuliffe is managing partner of the law firm McAuliffe and Associates, P.C., in Newton, Massachusetts. Her practice is focused on representing businesses in the resolution of contractual disputes, with a concentration in commercial litigation, contract enforcement, tortious interference issues, and unfair and deceptive business practices. She holds a B.A in Political Science from the University of Vermont, and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in December of 1994. She has volunteered many years for Enter Stage Left Theater and for MSPCC’s Champion Advocacy Network.
Ms. Murphy is currently the Director of Finance & Administration for a Sungage Financial, Inc, a residential solar financing start-up, and has extensive financial and reporting experience in both non-profit and for-profit organizations. She has held the position of CFO/Treasurer for The Elixir Fund, a non-profit organization for cancer patients, for over 10 years. She holds a BS degree in Management from Boston College. Her involvement in the arts in Hopkinton includes more than 10 years as an actor, singer, and writer in many Enter Stage Left Theater productions, which led her to volunteer her time over the years on various fundraising activities to support the organization.
A native of Worcester, MA, Jim graduated from WPI with his undergraduate degree in Business Management. Following WPI, he achieved his MBA from Bryant University with a concentration in Finance. Upon completion of his Masters degree, Jim began his career as a financial advisor, working with individuals, business owners, non-profit organizations and trusts. In 2007, he completed the Financial Planning Certificate Program and earned his certification as a Certified Financial Planner™ professional in 2008. As one of the founding partners of Blackstone Valley Wealth Management, LLC., Jim specializes in creating unique strategies that address complex wealth management issues. Jim’s clients includes high net worth individuals, business owners, non-profit organizations and trusts.
In addition to investments, Crossfit and sports, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and being an active contributor to the local community.
